The Last Years

Right up until his retirement, Shakespeare continued writing plays. His final three plays were Henry VIII written in 1613, Knoble Kingsman written in 1613 or 1614 and finally the now lost play Cardenio. Unfortunately the last 2 plays were not favorites. Shakespeare retired and lived a calm life in ease. He was said to have spent a few years in his hometown of Stratford. On March 25, 1616 before he died about 2 months later Shakespeare visited an attorney to revise his will for the final time. The legendary playwrighter's life came to end on April 23,1616 from unknown causes. He was buried in the Channel of Holy Trinity Church on April 25, 1616. Shakespeare was a truly remarkable man and is still remembered to this very day for all the famous plays he composed.
